Bishop Wycliffe Wakhungu
I am here to testify that God sent forth his beloved Son, Jesus, to save sinners. The Bible put it clearly that for those who receive him and believe in His name, He gave the power and the right to become children of God. God shows us his agape love not to perish but to have everlasting life.
Generally, I have undergone a downcast life and a life of sickness for a long period of time. I suffered from headache and stomach problems. My father tried what he could to get me healed but it was all in vain. My father took me to diviners who gave herbs to be used as medicine to cure the diseases, but they didn’t work.
I passed by a Christian crusade that was happening in a marketplace. Something told me not to pass this place without hearing the message.

I remember well after finishing my education in high I spend two years at home because of lack of funds, but then my father sold some cattle to admit me to the college in Nairobi. I stayed there for two years while pursuing courses. Something incredible happened one evening while I was coming home from college. I passed by a Christian crusade that was happening in a marketplace. Something told me not to pass this place without hearing the message. So, I stood over there to listen to the preacher.
The preacher was speaking about being set free from bondage. The pastor read Luke 1:37, which says, “For nothing will be impossible with God.” He also read Mathew 11:28, “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Then he ushered an altar call for people to be prayed for. Suddenly I heard a voice telling me that this is your day to be delivered and healed. Within no time I found myself down front. I was prayed for and received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior through confessing and believing in the Lord. From that moment until now my life has changed. Jesus set me free from the captivity of sickness and depression.
God placed a burden on me that I couldn’t settle unless I witnessed to people about what God did for me. I had dreams and visions while in the ministry, and it took ten years to fulfill God’s calling for me.
After my conversion to Christianity, I started attending church services where I learned more about Jesus. Further, I heard a voice telling me that I needed to go and witness to all people. I was being called to testify that the Lord forgives and heals diseases; so, whoever believes in him shall be healed.
God placed a burden on me that I couldn’t settle unless I witnessed to people about what God did for me. I had dreams and visions while in the ministry, and it took ten years to fulfill God’s calling for me.
Before surrendering to Jesus, I had been living a miserable life in poverty. I had no funds to purchase anything. My father assisted me where necessary by buying food, clothes, and paying my rent. But when my father retired from his duty, it became very difficult to provide for me and our brothers.
I had no job because the only work I endeavored was evangelism. I tried looking for employment but things always fell apart. I thank God for my father whom God miraculously used to help me. My father gave me a portion of land to farm. Farming has helped me provide for myself while serving in ministry.
